The Icelandic Centre for Research

The Icelandic Centre for Research (Rannis) is a public organisation that reports to the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture. Its mission is to provide professional assistance to the preparation and implementation of the national science and technology policy. Rannis is responsible for operating the public financial support system for education, research and innovation under the Science and Technology Policy Council and serves the Icelandic science community across all fields of sciences and the humanities. Rannis coordinates NCP activities for Horizon 2020 in Iceland. Rannis has a central role in communicating matters of science, education and research to the public.
