Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique

INRA (Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique, i.e. French National Institute for Agricultural Research) is a public research organisation under the dual supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Research. INRA is Europe’s top agricultural research institute and world’s number two centre for agricultural sciences. Its nearly 9000 permanent staff (scientists, engineers, technicians; 49.3% M/ 50.7% F; 880 million Euro 2014 budget) work towards solutions for society’s major challenges. Main areas of interest are Food, Nutrition, Agriculture and Environment, but also Competitiveness, Land use, Health, Sustainable Development and Bioeconomy.
