Webinar on Nagoya Protocol
The 2010 Nagoya Protocol is a key element in the global framework for sustainable development. It enhances legal certainty and transparency for users and providers of genetic resources. It thus supports the implementation process of Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) on the national level and the achievement of the third objective of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
BioHorizon project, together with two other NCP projects (namely HNN Health NCP Net 2.0 focusing on Societal Challenge 1 and NCPs CaRE focusing with Societal Challenge 5), are organising an online webinar about the implementation of the Nagoya protocol in research projects with a special focus on Horizon 2020. New elements will be presented as well, following the adoption of the Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) regulation. The presentations will be given by Mery Ciacci, International Relations Officer – Access and Benefit Sharing under the Nagoya Protocol, DG Environment, European Commission.
The webinar took place on 27th September 2019. Here you can watch the recording of the webinar, download the presentation in PDF format and download the Q&A document from the webinar.
