SME Instrument budget has been increased

23.08.2016

The SME Instrument budget increase for 2017 concerns four  topics:

  • Healthcare and biotechnology (SMEInst-05 topic) € 35 million
  • Sustainable agriculture, forestry (SMEInst-07 topic) € 5.68 million
  • Blue growth (SMEInst-08 topic) € 2.42 million
  • Climate action, environment, raw materials, resource efficiency (SMEInst-11 topic) € 8.5 million

Another novelty is that open research data will be the default setting in the Phase 2 of SME Instrument. However in some cases when research data cannot be open, Phase 2 projects have the possibility to opt out.
