Climate policy after COP21: Implications for the European forest-based sector

This ThinkForest event builds on the ThinkForest seminar “Climate policy targets: how can European forests contribute” which brought together policymakers, scientists and stakeholders at the COP21 Climate Generations area in Paris on 1 December 2015. During the the upcoming workshop participants will discuss the following major issues:
• What do the Paris COP21 decisions mean for the European forest-based sector?
• What happens next in EU climate policy?
• What role will forest sinks, carbon mitigation and carbon storage play in the 2030 climate and energy framework?
• From Science to Policy: what new issues should be considered?
