TAFTIE Academy Webinar on "Responsible Research and Innovation"

Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) defines a comprehensive approach on how the societal actors can be brought together during the whole research and innovation process in order to better align the process and its outcomes for the whole society.

RRI is a cross-cutting issue promoted in FP7 as well as in Horizon 2020 through various actions. Public engagement in Responsible Research and Innovation is about co-creating the future with citizens and civil society organisations. The European Commission is one of the major promoter of RRI topics, which now has been taken by other international organizations like OECD.

The webinar aims to provide an introduction for RRI concept, present the objectives of the EC very briefly and then introduce the real life examples on how RRI can be integrated in funding programmes of the agencies. It can also provide useful guidance on stakeholder engagement in STI (Science Technology Innovation) Policy making.
